Three-Toed Sloth
The three-toed sloth is one of the national symbols of Costa Rica. It always looks like its smiling.
Sloths only go to the bathroom once a week because they are so slow it can take them 6 hours going down the tree and 6 hours up
A sloth sleeps between 15 to 20 hours per day. The other hours it eats and gets high from the leaf it eats.
Eyelash Palm Pit Viper / Bocaraca
The name comes from its little scales above the eyes which looks like eyelashes. For the indigenous Bocaraca means the kiss of the slow death.
This species is well known for the variation in it color, it can be bright yellow, brown, green, red and more.
